ERC Synergy Grant Application

The European Research Council (ERC) funds exploratory research projects, at the frontiers of knowledge, in all areas of science and technology. Among the ERC grants, the ERC Synergy grants support projects carried out by a group of two to four individual researchers. Synergy evaluations are unique, and fit for complex projects and without predefined panels. Proposals are evaluated by selected international peer reviewers who evaluate proposals on the basis of excellence as the sole criterion. It applies to the evaluation of both the research project and the Principal Investigators, taking into account the synergetic aspects of the proposed research. Submission of the full proposal follows a three-step evaluation, including interviews. Withing the framework of Horizon Europe, the application for the research programme EDEN ARTECH (Ethics, Design and Empowerment for Nature through ARts and TECHnologies) was among the projects selected in step 1 of the 2022 ERC Syg evaluation process. The scientific committe received in 2023 detailed feedbacks from panel members.
