- Why do we encounter so much difficulty in changing and bringing out new representations of the world and life when the habitability of the Earth and the responsibility of our species in this regard are seriously compromised? Reflecting the complexity of our world and our interactions with it, it appears that specific mediation on ecological issues is increasingly necessary. Combining the arts, sciences, ethics and philosophy, the EDEN ARTECH (Ethics, Design and Empowerment for Nature through ARts and TECHnologies) research program, presented in this article, underpins the arts-sciences approach as a fundamental element to create and reinvent more appropriate forms of engagement with the living.
